She has been an artist in residence at multiple residencies including: The Bemis Center for Contemporary Art, Omaha NE, The Flax Art Studios, Belfast, Northern Ireland, Franconia Sculpture Park, Shafer MN, Sculpture Space, Utica, NY, and Lab-Site, Indiana University, Bloomington, IN, where she realized her interactive multi-media installation 1000 Kisses. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Art (tenure track) at the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis. She lives and works in Minneapolis and New York City.

Stanislav practices a multimedia approach to art making, inspired by the language of film, architecture, and pop culture. Scientific studies in the psychology of perception inform the work as well. Her installations combine formalism, concept, and interactivity to create an experiential environment that explores worlds we can see - and worlds we can’t see - but know intuitively are real.
