Studio XX a besoin de votre aide pour cataloguer des items mystérieux de son fond d’archives

Au cours des dernières dix années, avez-vous fait partie du Conseil d’administration, assisté au festival HTMlles, aux ateliers ou aux présentations d’artistes au Studio XX ? Alors l’équipe du projet Matricules vous invite à vous joindre à un voyage dans les traces de l’histoire de ce réseau et centre d’artistes qu’est le Studio.
Matricules est un projet de recherche et développement qui vise à mettre à jour les dernières dix années du Studio XX en construisant une archive numérique – et, dans un avenir prochain, à voir la collaboration entre 10 artistes autour d’une production reflétant ce trajet de manières subjectives, critiques et artistiques.
Matricules est présentement dans sa deuxième phase du processus d’archivage. L’équipe du projet trie des items physiques et numériques dans le but de créer une base de données des activités, des participantes, ainsi que des organismes qui s’inscrivent dans le parcours du Studio XX depuis 1996. En tant que membres, amies ou artistes, votre expérience et vos connaissances sont précieuses pour ce processus de découverte. De plus, si vous avez des morceaux — soit des enregistrements, des photos, ou des objets – qui pourraient être ajoutés à la collection du Studio, apportez-les !
Le samedi 19 août, de midi à 17 heures, le Studio XX ouvre ses portes à celles intéressées à contribuer au projet en effectuant des visionnements de CD ou cassettes sans étiquettes qui font partie des efforts de documentation du Studio XX depuis plusieurs années. Votre contribution enrichira l’information disponible pour la base de données dynamique en construction, qui sera officiellement « ouverte » lors des événements d’octobre prochain. Un léger goûter et des rafraîchissement seront servis.

Studio XX Needs Your Help Archiving Mystery Items

Over the last decade, have you served on the Board, attended an HTMlles festival, participated in a workshop or heard a lecture at Studio XX? The archiving team of the Matricules project invites you to join us for a virtual walk down memory lane as we complete our interactive archival map of Studio XX!
Matricules is an interdisciplinary project of research & development aiming at bringing up to date the traces of Studio XX’s first decade by the construction of a digital archive – and, at a later date, the production of a collective piece by ten artists.
Matricules has entered the second phase of the archiving process and the project team has begun sorting through a variety of physical and electronic documents to create a dynamic database of the activities, people, and ideas that make up Studio XX. As members, friends, and co-producers your personal experiences at the Studio are a valuable part of our investigation of the contents of the growing pile of mystery items!
Also, do you happen to have any recordings, pictures, objects that could be added to the archive of the Studio? Then bring them along!
On Saturday, August 19, from 12 :00 until 17 :00, Studio XX will host archiving sessions for friends and members to help us sift through the unlabelled tapes, recordings and images that will link the documentation of the Studio’s activities and participants who make up our history. Come and watch and the interesting, engaging and often entertaining footage of XX since 1996! Your shared memories of the Studio over the last ten years will enrich the information available to future virtual users of the Matricules database which is set to launch this October. Drinks and food will be served.
