Osheaga Music and Arts Festival
Call for entries
Artwork Submission Deadline is August 10, 2006.
Artists are invited to submit works to be featured at the Osheaga Music and Arts Festival, Arts Exhibition from September 2 and 3rd, 2006 at Parc Jean Drapeau, Montreal. The arts festival theme is A Temporal Meeting Place.
The selection criteria for both the Sculpture and Digital Media and Interactive Arts Exhibitions includes:
artistic communication, material quality, aesthetic appeal, and community and festival relevance.
All materials must be suitable for public viewing. Composition is unlimited but works must be engaging and fully experience-able by the public. Works may be displayed in open air or in a tent facility.
Works are recommended to be a maximum of 3M in height, 1.5M in width and 250k in weight.
Transportation to the Osheaga site of the works will be offered to selected Montreal based artists. Works arriving from outside Metropolitan Montreal will have to arrange transportation to Montreal.
Over 500,000 people visit the Parc Jean Drapeau annually. The Osheaga Music and Arts Festival expects a viewing public in the tens of thousands over a two-day period . Artists benefit from international exposure and recognition by being featured on one of North America's most celebrated sites of artistic heritage.
