Le Centre de diffusion SAGAMIE invite les artistes (de tous âges) et les commissaires à présenter leur PROJET D’EXPOSITION solo, duo ou en groupe.
La galerie est ouverte à l'ensemble des pratiques en art actuel et favorise les projets de recherche qui développent une réflexion novatrice sur le médium numérique. Le centre entend supporter particulièrement les projets qui génèrent des interfaces fécondes entre l'imprimé numérique grand format et différents contextes de création en art actuel que ce soit l'installation, la performance, les interventions en extérieur, l'art relationnel, la photographie, la peinture, l'estampe, les pratiques hybrides et transversales, etc.
Le Centre SAGAMIE souhaite accompagner les artistes dans le développement de nouveaux projets de création grâce à son laboratoire d'impression numérique grand format et l'expertise technique de ses assistants de création.
Le Centre SAGAMIE produira des publications accompagnant ces projets de diffusion apportant ainsi une contribution à la documentation et la compréhension de l'art actuel. Ces publications seront tirées en micro édition à l'aide des équipements d'impression numériques et de reliure du centre.
Le Centre SAGAMIE est également intéressé à faire circuler les expositions qui seront produites au centre. Les artistes et les commissaires sont donc invités à nous faire part des possibilités de collaborations avec d'autres centres d'expositions avec lesquels ils sont en relation.
Le centre portera une attention particulière aux propositions des artistes émergents (moins de 35 ans).
Le centre offre le cachet RAAV/CARFAC aux artistes.
La salle d’exposition mesure 30 X 50 pieds. Elle est munie de 4 cimaises muséologiques de 6pi. X 9pi. X 19 po. Éclairage halogène et plafonds à 11 pieds.

Fondé en 1981, SAGAMIE est un centre de recherche et de production spécialisé en impression numérique grand format et traitement numérique de l'image en art actuel. L'activité principale du centre est orientée vers la résidence d’artiste à laquelle viennent se greffer des activités spéciales de diffusion, de réflexion théorique, de formation et de publication. Le centre offre ainsi aux artistes, commissaires et théoriciens des conditions propices à la recherche, à la création, à la réflexion théorique et à la diffusion d'oeuvres et de textes inédits qui s’inscrivent dans un continuum visant à contribuer de façon significative aux nouveaux discours artistiques entourant les arts contemporains numériques.

The Centre de diffusion SAGAMIE invites artists (of all ages) and curators to present their solo, two-person, or group EXHIBITION PROJECTS.
The gallery is open to all contemporary-art practices and encourages research projects that develop innovative reflection on the digital medium. The centre would like to support, in particular, projects that generate fertile interfaces between large-format digital prints and various creative contexts of contemporary art, including installation, performance, outdoor interventions, relational art, photography, painting, printing, and hybrid and cross-disciplinary practices.
The SAGAMIE Centre’s intention is to support artists in the development of new creative projects thanks to its large-format digital-print laboratory and the technical expertise of its creative assistants.
The SAGAMIE Centre will produce publications accompanying these exhibition projects, thus contributing to the documentation and comprehension of contemporary art. These publications will be published in small editions using the centre’s digital-printing and binding equipment.
The SAGAMIE Centre is also interested in having the exhibitions produced at the centre go on tour. Artists and curators are therefore invited to share with us the possibilities for collaboration with other exhibition centres with which they connected.
The centre will pay particular attention to proposals by emerging artists (under 35 years of age).
The centre will offer the RAAV/CARFAC honorarium to artists.
The exhibition hall is 30 x 50 feet in area. It has four museological exhibition systems measuring 6' x 9' x 19". Halogen lighting and 11' ceilings.
THE PROPOSAL MUST INCLUDE:
CV, artistic approach, description of exhibition project
Visual documentation: small images (about 5x7" at 72 dpi) on CD for Macintosh; slides; or other.
A self-addressed stamped envelope if you wish the proposal to be returned

Founded in 1981, SAGAMIE is a centre for artistic inquiry and production specializing in large-format digital printing and digital image manipulation in contemporary art. The centre’s principal activity is providing artists’ residencies, complemented by special activities for exhibitions, theoretical reflection, training, and publication. Thus, the centre offers artists, curators, and theorists conditions conducive to artistic inquiry and creativity, theoretical reflection, and exhibition of unprecedented works of art and texts situated within a continuum whose goal is to make significant contributions to new artistic discourses around the contemporary digital arts.
