Touching the Invisible
À partir du 25 octobre 2006
Montréal maintenant reconnue ville UNESCO de design, la SAT souhaite ajouter sa contribution et faire de la SAT[Galerie] une halte incontournable où vous seront présentés tour à tour les démarches et les procédés de recherche créative sous forme d’expérimentations ouvertes, notamment dans les domaines du design d’interfaces, design de communication et du design interactif.
L'exposition
Touching the Invisible réunit 6 installations interactives et reflète le travail accompli au Smart Studio, groupe de recherche dont le travail est orienté sur les nouvelles fusions entre l'art, la science et la technologie, et démontre la manière dont le studio travaille avec la circulation invisible de l'information :: Brainball, Brainbar, Delay Mirror, Hellhunt, Monochromeye et RemoteHome
Rencontre avec les artistes :: 14 heures
Une table ronde présentera le Interactive Institute et l'exposition Touching the Invisible en plus d'offrir un survol de la scène suédoise en arts médiatiques de sa genèse à aujourd'hui. Avec Björn Norberg, conservateur du Interactive Institute et de Mejan Labs [Stockholm], Magnus Jonsson et Ingvar Sjöberg, respectivement directeur de production artistique et directeur artistique du Interactive Institute. With the recognition of Montréal UNESCO city of design, the SAT aims to contribute by dedicating the SAT[Gallery] as a centre where visitors can witness the genesis and processes of creative research via open experiments in fields such as interface design, communications design, and interactive design.
The Exhibition
Touching the Invisible, an exhibition of 6 interactive installations characterizes the work performed at the Smart Studio, a research group within the Interactive Institute that creates new fusions between art, science and technology, and reflects how the studio works with the invisible flow of information :: Brainball, Brainbar, Delay Mirror, Hellhunt, Monochromeye and RemoteHome

The seminar will present theInteractive Institute and the exhibition Touching the Invisible and give a survey of the Swedish new media art scene from the beginning to present time. With Björn Norberg, curator of the Interactive Institute and Mejan Labs, Stockholm, Magnus Jonsson and Ingvar Sjöberg, respectively Manager Art Productions and Artistic Director at the Interactive Institute.
