Les allocations sont accordées afin d'aider les étudiants à réaliser un projet ou un voyage. Sont admissibles, les étudiants de 2e ou 3e cycle dans un programme relié à Hexagram. Les documents sont en ligne sur le site du CIAM.

Allocations are given to students to help them travel or realize a project. Eligible students are master's and doctoral students in a Hexagram related program. Documents are available online at the CIAM Website.

InterAccess is dedicated to expanding the cultural space of technology. We fulfill our mandate through our internationally renowned exhibition programmes, newly renovated media production studio and innovative educational activities. Unique to Canada, InterAccess has been at the forefront of electronic and new media arts in this country since 1983. The two positions of Studio Coordinator and Studio Technician will be involved in the future planning of this state-of-the-art laboratory and all associated programmes.

Le Cégep de Saint-Hyacinthe a choisi de placer l'art au coeur de son projet éducatif, en en favoriser l’accès à sa communauté : les membres de son personnel, ses milliers d’étudiants et les nombreux utilisateurs de ses services. Voilà pourquoi, le 21 mai 2003, le conseil d’administration a adopté une politique d’acquisition, de conservation et de diffusion d’oeuvres d’art, en vue de développer une collection d’oeuvres en art visuel contemporain, produites par des artistes professionnels et représentatives de la réalité culturelle du Québec.

Le programme a récemment fait l'objet d'une révision qui a mené à diverses modifications parmi lesquelles l'introduction de deux volets de recherche : Fonds et collections documentaires du CR+D et Projet d'architecture de l'information et publication électronique. Comme chaque année, la fondation Daniel Langlois offrira en 2007 deux bourses de recherche. Les propositions retenues permettront au chercheur de séjourner au Centre de recherche et de documentation de la fondation (CR+D).

Dans le cadre de la 7e biennale de Champ Libre présentée à la Grande Bibliothèque du Québec à Montréal, le colloque VILLE - ART- TECHNOLOGIE réfléchira sur les questions de la CITÉ INVISIBLE reliées aux paradigmes changeants dans les villes d'aujourd'hui et entre des régions distanciées. Nous tenterons d’analyser comment les nouvelles villes globales, définies par le changement accéléré et une nouvelle masse critique due à des économies, des populations, une démographie changeantes, des transformations politiques ou sociales, peuvent nourrir un concept différent de la ville de même que de nouvelles pratiques d'art, qui en retour révèlent la ville (son “l'invisibilité”) de façons imperceptibles.

In the context of Champ Libre's 7th Biennale, to take place at the Quebec National Library in Montreal, the CITY - ART - TECHNOLOGY symposium will reflect on interrogations concerning the INVISIBLE CITY, linked to changing paradigms in today's cities and between remote regions. We will attempt to analyze how new global cities - defined by accelerated transformations and new critical masses due to changing economies, populations and demographics, political and social transformations - may nourish a different concept of the city as well as new art practices, which in turn reveal the city's ‘invisibility’ in imperceptible ways.

Après avoir présenté deux programmes de formation en art communautaire et avoir soutenu plusieurs projets de collaboration artistes/groupes communautaires, LEVIER - Engrenage Noir met l'emphase cet automne sur la question de la documentation spécifique à tel type de pratique, l'«après-projet» : Comment raconter un projet vécu sur le mode de la collaboration? qui parle? Comment poursuivre sur le même mode collaboratif pour écrire le récit-vidéo d'une expérience collective?

Les amateurs de danse pourront découvrir des chorégraphes, des danseurs et des danseuses du Canada, de la France et du Japon. Plus qu’une série de spectacles, Transatlantique Montréal profite de ces 6 journées de programmation comme prétexte aux échanges artistiques et culturels dans le domaine de la danse ainsi que des arts connexes au mouvement, et ce, à l’échelle locale, nationale et internationale. Pour cette édition, le directeur artistique Rafik Sabbagh présente une programmation où se côtoient des créations originales de professionnels et d’artistes de la relève. Encore une fois, Transatlantique souhaite offrir des possibilités et des choix différents afin que le grand public accède à la danse d’ici et d’ailleurs et ait l’occasion de voir des créateurs s’exprimer.

Cité invisible / Invisible city : 7e édition de la Manifestation Internationale Vidéo et Art Électronique, Montréal

Fidèle à son approche in situ de la diffusion, Champ Libre présente la 7e édition de la Manifestation Internationale Vidéo et Art Électronique, Montréal (MIVAEM), événement biennal, sous le thème Cité invisible/Invisible city sur un site urbain en pleine mutation. Dans le cadre de cet événement unique, le site de la Grande Bibliothèque de Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec (BAnQ), nouveau lieu du savoir et de la culture à Montréal situé dans l’arrondissement Ville-Marie, est investi et scénographié afin de proposer une programmation interdisciplinaire et une diffusion multiréseaux in situ touchant les domaines de la vidéo, des arts électroniques, de l’architecture et de l’urbanisme.

^^ Ear to the Earth: A Festival of Music, Sound and Ecology
October 6 to 14, 2006

Featuring sound work by Alvin Curran, Steven Feld, Luc Ferrari, Joan La Barbara, Annea Lockwood, Laurie Spiegel, Morton Subotnick, Hildegard Westerkamp, Iannis Xenakis, and many others. Ear to the Earth - a festival conceived and organized by Electronic Music Foundation - will kick up the volume of the earth's sonic life with concerts, installations, public art, and panel discussions that explore our interaction with natural and man-made worlds through sound. For a week, an international team of sound artists, environmentalists, scientists and educators will convene in downtown venues including the World Financial Center, Judson Church and 3-Legged Dog Arts & Technology Center (3LD), to present and discuss a wide and compelling body of works based on the sounds and images of the environment, encouraging people to "listen to our world."

wi, the journal of the Mobile Digital Commons Network (MDCN), publishes the latest in Canadian mobilities research, encompassing disciplines such as design, engineering, computer science, communications and media studies. Currently focusing on the research work of MDCN projects, wi aims to expand its purview in the coming months to include other national and international scholarship, artistic productions and design research on mobility, wireless technologies, and digital media.
