l’interférence entre ce qui est lu et ce
qui est vu. Il s’agit d’une pratique où les
mots se jouent des images et des objets et inversement.

aussi bien à travers des projets d’installation
in-situ, que la gravure ou la photographie.

This workshop will cover Hexagram-Concordia’s
mobile octophonic sound system and give participants
the necessary information to use and care for this
resource. This system allows the user to experiment
with sound spatialization using multiple speakers.

L'œuvre ouverte, le congrès de PureData
2007 réunira des artistes, des développeurs
et des théoriciens qui sont les créateurs
de PureData, qui exploitent le logiciel et en font l’objet
de leur réflexion. Le Congrès de PureData
fera ressortir l’étendue des disciplines
artistiques qui utilisent le logiciel libre, et s’intéressera
aux questions d’ouverture et d’accessibilité.
Il servira de contexte théorique à la compréhension
des arts médiatiques qui investissent les aspects
esthétiques et politiques de la culture du logiciel
libre.

L’artiste multidisciplinaire
Lise-Hélène
Larin explore les limites de la sculpture et de la peinture à l'aide
de ses animations non-figuratives en trois dimensions.
Ses " photos simulées " sont autant
de plans fixes saisis par la caméra logicielle
qu'elle déplace dans sa mise-en-scène virtuelle.
Ce sont des images d'un univers algorithmique étrange
qu'elle a construit avec des polygones et qui n'a aucun équivalent
dans le réel. Ces images construites sont déconcertantes
car nos sens y cherchent en vain une référence à la
réalité. Ici, la représentation
est davantage une recherche cognitive qu’une imitation
de la nature.

Lise-Helene Larin is a multidisciplinary
artist whose non-figurative 3D animated films question
sculpture and
painting. As the virtual camera infiltrated her work,
it framed, froze and fixed her virtual mise-en-scène
into simulated photos which play on perception and through
which she developed an unusual process of representation
by "constructing" images using virtual polygons
arranged in space. She thereby creates strange worlds
the nature of which is "algorithmical", figurations
that escape photographic representation as the referent
from reality is now absent. Representation in this case
is more of a cognitive research than a skill to mimic
nature.

et la directrice de la galerie Renee Baert.
L’espace
d’exposition accueillera trois « cinémas » conçus
pour l’occasion, présentant des programmes
continus regroupés autour des thématiques
de l’amour, du travail et du désir. D’autres
films seront présentés dans un espace salon,
où les visiteurs seront invités à effectuer
leur propre sélection. Variant en genre et en
forme, les films réunis pour cette exposition
vont de l’animation et de l’expérimental
au documentaire et au drame émotionnel épique.
