Biennale d’échanges artistiques – troisième édition

Pour sa troisième édition, la biennale d’échange
artistique traverse l’océan et s’associe
au Fresnoy en France et devient : Toronto/Montréal/Lille.
L’École des arts de l’image de l’université Ryerson à Toronto
en collaboration avec la Faculté des arts de l’UQAM à Montréal
et Le Fresnoy, Studio national des arts contemporains à Lille,
sera l’hôte d’une biennale intitulée
Toronto/Montréa/lLille : ENSEMBLE AILLEURS. Ce colloque
interdisciplinaire, troisième édition d’une
biennale Toronto – Montréal – Lille
se tiendra à l’université Ryerson du
31 janvier au 2 février 2008. L'objectif est de
mettre en avant les idées et tendances nouvelles
dans la pratique artistique contemporaine et d’encourager
les échanges entre les communautés artistiques
et académiques des trois régions.

prépare actuellement la 4e édition de la
Manif d’art qui aura lieu en mai 2008. Pour compléter
sa programmation, elle invite les artistes en arts visuels,
médiatiques et multidisciplinaires à soumettre
un projet en lien avec le thème de la Manif d’art
4 : la rencontre.

is currently preparing the 4th edition of the Manif d’art,
which will be held in May 2008. To complete its programming,
it are inviting artists in visual, media and multidisciplinary
arts to submit a portfolio and propose a project relating
to the theme of the Manif d’art 4: The Meeting.

Leisure Projects
July 27, 2007 from 7 to 11 p.m.
Leisure Projects has recently returned from a few months
spent indulging in one of Canada’s most pre-eminent
leisure hotspots – Banff National Park and resort.
While in Banff, Leisure Projects explored popular past
imaginaries of Banff society and wilderness by researching
the social history, glamour and fantasy of Banff National
Park from a decidedly female perspective.
With an ambiance reminiscent of magic lantern slide shows,
Leisure Projects will share their recent work and experiences
in an evening exhibition/event at the Back Gallery.
